Day out Avebury 20th June 2009

Laura and I decided to have a day out in Wiltshire today starting with a picnic near Cherhill White horse then onto Avebury on what turned out to be the summer solstice.

Autosport International 2009

Had a good time at the Autosport show yesterday as ever there was lots to look around, enjoyed looking at the David Coulthard's collection. He seems very down to earth and had time to talk to people. Also saw Murrey Walker and as expected he was brilliant wanting to know all about the people he was talking to and having a joke and a laugh. There was a nice collection of F1 cars from last year and the history of F1. The live show was good but the music was sooo loud! I must be getting old! Here are a few of my photos

This was also the first time I used my new 50mm 1.8 prime lens and I am really pleased with the results. Previous years taking photos at Autosport International as been difficult without a monopod but this year with the lower aperture they have worked really well hand held.

Bath Christmas Market / Beauty & the Beast at the Hippodrome.

We visited Bath to have a look around the Christmas Market then it was onto the Bristol Hippodrome for the 1st part of Laura's Christmas present "Disney's Beauty and the Beast on tour" We both had a fantastic time.

 

That isn't a statue its a man! and that's a pigeon on his shoulder!

Mum's Birthday

Mum's Birthday today, Laura made Mum a triple chocolate cake! Yum! Off for as much as you can eat Chinese later!

Christmas Shopping at Lakeside
