Autosport International 2009

Had a good time at the Autosport show yesterday as ever there was lots to look around, enjoyed looking at the David Coulthard's collection. He seems very down to earth and had time to talk to people. Also saw Murrey Walker and as expected he was brilliant wanting to know all about the people he was talking to and having a joke and a laugh. There was a nice collection of F1 cars from last year and the history of F1. The live show was good but the music was sooo loud! I must be getting old! Here are a few of my photos

This was also the first time I used my new 50mm 1.8 prime lens and I am really pleased with the results. Previous years taking photos at Autosport International as been difficult without a monopod but this year with the lower aperture they have worked really well hand held.

Alan has a prang at Combe :(

Alan had a bit of a moment over Rise at Combe, resulted in visiting the tyre wall before nursing it back in. Despite a smashed rear window and rear end damage he was out for the race, thanks to everyone rallying around!

The Formula Ford carnival was also the last race of the season, congratulations must go to all the lads that competed this year, Jason and Nick both managed 2nd in their class and Alan showed a huge improvement throughout the season, once the car is 100% he is certainly going to be at the front.
